We just have to learn to ignore those voices in our head and rekindle our belief in ourselves. Try finding that positive mantra or phrase that helps you keep your confidence.
Maybe the phrase is “ You are stronger than you know.” Or “Inhale love - Exhale doubt.”
Using these mantras daily or when you lose self-confidence will lift your spirits and you may even find it brings a smile to your face.
Try to remind yourself at the beginning of something new (yoga class/ new job/new relationship- etc) that you start without expectation, an instead, allow yourself to come into a place of acceptance, to listen to the body, the mind, and the heart. To rest when rest is needed, to push when push is needed, and to be still when stillness is needed.
When we allow ourselves to set aside those overwhelming and tiring expectations, we are able to come with an open heart and mind. So we no longer have to be the person we think we should be, but we can be exactly who we are.
Yoga Central is a yoga community full of openness and genuine humans that all support one another and believe in each other. We have fun and do not take yoga so serious that we forget to laugh and lift the corners of our mouths.
